The property has two wings namely Ideal Ayurvedic Resort established in 1997 & New Ideal Panchakarma Centre started in 2009.Both are existing adjacently with common facilities like entrance, restaurant and swimming pool etc. The property is approximately 20 kilometers from the Trivandrum International Airport, Central Railway Station and the Central Bus Station..

Restaurant
Eating is a relaxed, pleasurable, outdoor experience in our resort. The open air dining area is a place where friendships are easily made and guests have the choice of joining up with others or finding their own space. The dining area spills out into the courtyard for those who like to get even closer to nature. The best of ingredients go into the preparation of the meals and the service comes within Ayurveda food and drinks are classified according to their taste - sweet, salty, spicy, sour, hot, cold and bitter - and thus by their influence on the doshas . All tastes should be represented in each meal, but within the proportionally specific requirements for each guest.

The Consultation Process
The Ideal Ayurvedic Resort is dedicated to the Ayurvedic principle of holistic health and the restoration of total health and well being through the rebalancing of the Vata, Pitta and Kapha energies.
The medical team of specially trained staff includes three masters, three consultants, eleven therapists and several experienced medicine makers. In order to achieve optimal results for each individual guest no treatments are given without a consultation with one of the doctors and/or masters.
All aspects of well being are thoroughly considered, taking into account not only any obvious symptoms of physical imbalance, but also lifestyle factors affecting the equilibrium of the mind and spirit. Based on the doctor's assessment an individual treatment program is then designed for each guest, addressing their current general state of health, specific health issues, personal aspirations and the time available for treatment.
Total guidance on the combination of foods that will compliment these treatments. Here we offer a range of combination treatment therapies designed to address specific health issues but we also ensure that all treatments within such therapies are in fact suitable for the individual guest to ensure that optimal health care is achieved

Pizhichil (7-21 DAYS)
Pizhichil is considered a particularly special treatment in Ayurveda. In this treatment lukewarm herbal oils are squeezed all over the body, by two to four therapists, continuously in a special rhythmic way for about 60 to 90 minutes each day. This treatment is done on a special table made from a single piece of Strychnous Nuxvomica wood.
This treatment is very effective for rheumatic diseases like arthritis and joint stiffness, paralysis (hemi logia, paraplegia), paralysis-agitanus, nervous weakness and nervous disorders, sexual weakness.

Gnavarakizhi (7-21 Days)
Gnavarakizhi is a type of sudation process in which the whole body, or any specific part there of, is made to perspire by the external application of certain Gnavara (medical) rice puddings, in the form of boluses tied in muslin bags, dipped in a mixture of warm milk and decoctions. It is applied as appropriate by two to four therapists for about 60 to 90 minutes each day.
This treatment is for all type of rheumatism, pain in the joints, emaciation of limbs, high cholesterol, high blood pressure and certain kinds of skin diseases and muscular diseases.

Siro Dhara (7 - 21 Days)
(Thyla-Thakra-Ksheera Dhara) "SIRO" means head and "DHARA" means flow of liquid. In Sirodhara, specially prepared medicinal oils and medicated buttermilk are poured on the forehead in a special rhythmic manner for about 30 to 45 minutes per day. This treatment is an effective therapy for diseases connected with the head, neck, eyes, ears, nose, throat and nervous system. It is effective for insomnia, loss of memory, headaches, migraine and mental tension, Parkinson's disease, cerebral atrophy, hair loss and certain skin diseases.

Vasthi (5 -25 Days)(Brumhana - Sneha - Kashaya (One time) - Matravasthi)
Vasthi is known as "Medicated Enema". Vasthi is a therapeutic procedure in which certain herbal oils, herbal extracts / decoctions are applied through the rectum daily.
This treatment is very effective for rheumatism and arthritis, diseases of the nervous system, paralysis, hemiplegia, numbness, gastric complaints, chronic constipation and hemorrhoids, gout, sciatica, insomnia.

Urovasthi (7 Days)
In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept on the chest for 30 to 45 minutes. This is an effective treatment for asthma and other respiratory problems, heart diseases and muscular chest pain.

Sirovasthi (7 - 14 Days)
Special lukewarm herbal oils are poured into a cap, which is fitted on the head, and held for 30 to 60 minutes per day, according to the patient's conditions.
This treatment is highly effective for facial paralysis and other diseases of the head, dryness of nostrils, mouth and throat, severe headaches, cataracts, loss of sensation of the skin (anaesthesia).

Kativasthi (7 Days)
In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept on the lower back within a herbal paste boundary for 30 to 45 minutes. This treatment is good for any type of back pain and spinal disorders.

Abhyangam (14 - 21 Days)
This is a special oil massage in which strokes are given according to the circulatory channels for 45 minutes per day, for a number of days, according to the disease.
This treatment is very useful for treating obesity, loss of skin luster, sleeplessness, fatigue, lack of blood circulation and other vata predominant diseases.

Udvarthanam (14 -28 Days)
This treatment is a typical powder massage. In this procedure certain special herbal powders are applied to the body, by two therapists, in a particular way for about 30 to 45 minutes daily.
This treatment is found to be very effective for obesity, hemiplegia, paralysis, skin diseases, impaired circulation and other similar kapha predominant diseases.

Nasyam (7 - 21 Days)
Nasyam is one of the most important procedures in Panchakarma. In this treatment herbal juices and medicated oils are applied through the nose.
This treatment is highly effective for diseases of the head including headaches, migraine, facial paralysis, mental disorders, skin disease, nasal congestion and chronic sinusitis.

Snehapanam (8 -12 Days)
This word literally means oral intake of medicated oils or ghee preparations. This is done as a therapeutic procedure and as a preparatory procedure during the body purification therapy. Medicated ghee or oils are given internally, in proportionally increasing quantities, for a period of 8 to 12 days.
This treatment is very effective for osteo arthritis, psoriasis, chronic constipation and hemorrhoids.

Kizhi (7 -14 days)
Herbal leaves or powders are made into boluses, dipped into warm medicated oil and applied to the whole body, or a specified part, for 30 to 45 minutes daily.
This is very effective for osteo arthritis, spondylosis, sports injuries and muscular atrophy.

Dhanyamla Dhara (14 Days)
Warm herbal liquid is poured all over the body in a rhythmic way using a special vessel. This is done for 30 minutes to 1 hour daily. This treatment is very effective for hemiplegia and paralysis.

Yoni Prakshalanam (7 Days)
Herbal oils and decoctions are applied through the vaginal route. This treatment is good for gynecological disorders. It is also a purification process for the genital organs.

Ksheeradhoomam (7 Days)
This is a special procedure in which a mixture of medicinal decoctions and cow's milk is heated and the steam thus liberated is passed through a tube and applied over the affected parts or whole body.
This is found to be very effective for nervous disorders of the face including facial paralysis, Bell's Palsy and speech disorders.

Thalam (7 Days)
Special powders are mixed with medicated oil and applied to the top of the head for 20 to 45 minutes. This treatment is helpful for curing ENT problems, insomnia, migraine and mental disorders.

Lepanam (7 Days)
This is a process in which medicated herbal paste, prepared with herbal ghees, and milk, is applied on the affected part or whole body. This is useful for various types of inflammatory conditions, arthritis, gout, skin diseases and eczema.

Thalapothichil (7 Days)
Various medicinal herbs, selected according to Dosha predominance, are made into a paste and applied to the scalp for 30 to 45 minutes. This treatment is good for insomnia, premature greying and other problems related to the hair and scalp, mental disorders.

Tharpanam (1 Time)
This is a cleaning process of the eyes, which gives a cooling effect, preventing eye diseases and strengthening the optic nerve.

Rejuvenation Massage (1 Time)
A whole body massage with herbal oil or herbal powder, using hands and feet, for 90 minutes. This is good for rejuvenating vitality.

General Massage (1 Time)
A whole body massage, by hand for 60 minutes, with herbal oils and herbal powder. This massage tones up the body and improves the blood circulation.

Medicated Steam Bath (1 Time)
Rare and precious herbal leaves and herbs are boiled and the steam is passed to the whole body for about 10 to 20 minutes. This is good for certain skin diseases, to eliminate impurities from the body, to improve the tone of the body and to reduce fat.

Marma Massage (1 Time)
This is a 90 minute massage stimulating all vital points of the body called "MARMAS". This helps you to attain an equilibrium of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. This massage is also helpful for those involved in sports, dance and martial arts as it strengthens your deep muscles and ligaments.

Mukhalepam (1 Time)
Wrinkles, black heads, cellulite, sun tan, etc. destroy the natural beauty of the skin especially of the face. To overcome these, we have a very special face massage using a herbal face pack produced with specially made herbal powers, fresh fruits and creams.
